Intriguing, well written, and hot!

Rarely does one find all three of these things in a story, but this one had it all. The characters and plot pulled me in right away, and it was tough to put the book down. The sexual tension was realistically built, and the story didn't lose it's punch, like so many love stories tend to do, after the hero and heroine finally came together. A great romance...to be savored!

Oh I really enjoyed this story very much. I wasn't sure if I would but decided to give it a chance.

There is mystery, danger, humbling, love, enticing, and so much more. I loved the characters it made me feel like I was right there watching, being involved in the emotions that played out. You will be enthralled throughout.

I hope the author writes more stories, because I would definitely get them. I didn't find any errors, it read smoothly throughout. There are 275 pages.

About the Author
KHANG LE
Khang Le was born in Saigon, Vietnam in 1981. When he was ten, his family moved to Los Angeles, California, and Le immersed himself in the world of comic books. During high school, a friend introduced him to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. At the same time, The Art of Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace came out, and making a living as a concept artist for the entertainment industry become Le's aspiration. In 2000, he got accepted to Art Center, where he had the opportunity to refine his skills to freelance for various entertainment mediums, including games, movies, music videos, and publishing. He has recently graduated and is currently traveling the world and considering all of his professional options.

FELIX YOON
Felix Yoon was born in Pennsylvania in 1982, where he spent his childhood, and later relocated to South Korea. He moved to California as he entered high school. It wasn't until senior year when Yoon decided to take art seriously as a possible occupation. After high school he entered Art Center College of Design, where he graduated with honors with a BFA in illustration. He started working as a concept artist for video games and now works as a visual development artist at DreamWorks Animation.

MIKE YAMADA
Michael Yamada was born and raised in Pasadena, California. Originally intending to be a graphic designer, Yamada attended a local community college and changed his course of study after discovering a book of Star Wars production art. He transferred to Art Center College of Design where in 2003 he graduated with honors with a BS degree in product design with a emphasis on entertainment design. He has spent the year after his graduation employed as a visual development artist at DreamWorks Animation, and working on a variety of freelance projects. He also teaches at Otis College of Art and Design.

Inspiration for my senior project

I love this book because
(a) it depicts a fantastic journey of imagination and artistic exploration,
(b) it has a sense of adventure about it,
(c) these young artists show such mind-blowing talent in the pages of this book,
(d) and it inspired me to tackle my own concept art project while I'm still in college.

As I go through my own creative process, I've often found myself referring to this book to see how they tackle the various challenges of designing unique and compelling characters, environments, and props. The commentary they make on each step of the process is just as valuable as their sketches and finished paintings because it gives insight into their mindset as they encountered problems along the way, and how they creatively overcame them. Highly recommended to all students of concept art.

Absolutely Wonderful.

Absolutely gorgeous and wonderful, the book is a fantastic addition to any library. Being a fan of concept art and Grimm tales, I was stoked to get my hands on it, and once I'd seen it in a teacher's collection--I absolutely had to own it myself.

It came quickly and in wonderful condition, and the art inside was just as beautiful as I had remembered! I was more than happy to put it on my bookshelf.

Beautiful, Imaginative, Inspirational

I bought this book originally because it sounded interesting: three artists conceptualizing the same fairytale. What I got was a book FILLED with sketches (which I love, as an artist myself). These three gentlemen walk us through their creative process visually, so you can see how blocking out character shapes turns into detailed character design with color, attitude, and even some humor. I flip through this book regularly (have had it now for two years), and I'll see a headdress here, a sword there, a detail on a gown, and it gives me new ideas for my own characters.

Of the MANY books that claim to be concept art, The Skillful Huntsman is, by far, the best I've found. Love love love.

I love the set even though I won't be performing most of them except for myself.

I'm an advanced player and sightreader. There are definite challenges here if I wanted to have a polished performance. Two numbers just blew me by their beauty: Coventry Carol and Silent Night. My audience of one will be playing these repeatedly. I will enjoy playing all the others without the pressure of getting performance ready.

Lucinda Gray is a Psychologist in international private practice. She has been a Coordinator in the Focusing Institute since 1984, teaching Focusing and practicing Focusing Oriented Psychotherapy. A Most Welcome Contribution

Sharing Lucinda Gray's enthusiasm for Focusing and being a Focusing trainer myself, this is a welcome contribution to my Focusing library for several reasons. Given that a wide variety of Focusing styles are thankfully encouraged by "The Focusing Institute", I feel both enriched by and grateful for others sharing what they've personally developed. In Dr. Gray's book, not only are you exposed to her style, but to several other leading teachers' as well, which I believe is helpful for beginners and veterans alike. And key aspects of Focusing are explained/illustrated by different contributors.

I've found that people vary in how they can best learn "Focusing", so I'm pleased to have as many resources as possible to draw upon when teaching an individual or a group. And it's a real treat to have such a variety of excellent resources within this one book.

Although there's a treasure trove of invaluable information here, the only thing I'm not clear about is what is meant by the "four training manuals".

Dr. Gray's offering is a very generous one, both in heart and content, one I'll be turning to time and time again. It's a gift to those of us already within the Focusing community, as well as those newly discovering this amazing life-affirming process.

Excellent. Practical -- Well Founded in Theory

This is a practical, clear, step by step for any psycho therapists who are unfamiliar with the techniques of focusing. It also includes steps that are easy to share with clients for their own work in between sessions.

I was introduced to focusing in the 1980's and am delighted it is more wide spread in use. In my new book What's Wrong With Me? Maybe Not That Much I emphasize the benefits of this technique.

There is good content, but the structure and formatting of the book is poor. I have seen this in other focusing books as well. Editing is the answer. I think that people publishing in this promising field need to understand that they have more potential to make the book attractive and influence by using basic principles of writing that other fields have to employ. Many dharma books in buddhism are good examples.

About the Author

Ronnie Self is Associate Professor of Architecture at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston, USA. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and advanced degrees in Theories of Architecture from the École d’Architecture Paris-Villemin and Philosophy of Art from the Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is a registered architect practicing in Houston and previously worked in the Paris office of Renzo Piano Building Workshop for 12 years where, among other projects, he was the Architect in Charge of the Atelier Brancusi for the Centre Georges Pompidou. He writes regularly on recently completed projects throughout the United States for American and French magazines.

This is the first book written by an architect who analyses rigorously the buildings (12 American and 6 European museums) from an architectural point of view and presents the museums' problems and choices in the first decade of the 21st century. A lot of images: photos, plans, drawings, details.A must have for everybody interested in art, museums and architecture

It is aimed at the entry-level position, or as a pre-fire season refresher for those wishing to brush-up (so to speak!). From the Author
Chief Teie worked for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection for 34 years. He worked up through the ranks, from seasonal firefighter to Deputy Director for Fire Protection. In this position he was responsible for all of CDF's fire protection programs. He retired in February 1993. Chief Teie is also very active as a fire protection consultant. He is working with Rockwell International on the application of space and military technology to emergency management and operational support. In August 1996, Chief Teie conducted a review of the 37,000-acre Miller's Reach Fire in Alaska for the Governor's Office. He acted as a consultant for the State of Washington after their fire siege during the 1994-fire season and conducted an operational review for the Montana Department of State Lands. He was the fire protection expert used by OSHA in their report on the tragedy in Colorado in July 1994. He also consulted for ABC Nightline and ABC News Los Angeles on their coverage of the 1993 fires in Southern California.

FIREFIGHTER'S HANDBOOK ON WILDLAND FIREFIGHTING

This book is absolutely essential to anyone involved in wildland firefighting. It is full of basic information as well as "oh, I remember now" information most of us forget after time. I loved this book for teaching new recruits, and seasoned veterans, and encourage any training officers to purchase this book ASAP.

Excellent Training Book!

This book is quite informative. The NDF (Nevada Division of Forestry) is now using this book, and the accompanying workbook, for Wildland Firefighting Training. It is written in a very detailed manner, and covers just about every aspect that a firefighter may come across in fighting wildland fires. Even if the reader fights wildland fires from their truck, other sections that are included in the book will give the reader another aspect to think about. What is the IC thinking? What are the hand crews doing and where? Where are the firelines being cut? Even though these items don't mean much to the firefighter on the engine, they give the reader the means and information to know what to expect.

A great deal of Information, But shallow

I felt that William Teire wrote a great deal of information that he understands, but didn't always make it understandable for the learner. An example is his chapter on map reading. He talks about townships and quadrants without really expalining to the reader how to read a map. With a little more in depth work in some areas of this book it could be the best handbook out there.
