Vernon Howard's most important book. This is the backbone the meat of all his books. I've had many copies of this book. Some I've given away, some I've worn out. For the true seeker of mystical wisdom this book is a must. Howard KNEW what he wrote about.

Wonderful book and author

If you really want to grow Spiritually....this book is a great road map.

Vernon Howard was one of the best authors in this genre I have ever read...I only wish I had the wisdom to see how important this stuff is when I was in my 20's. The Kingdom of Heaven is indeed in us...but we have to want it with all of our hearts...then it rewards that desire with insights that lead you to peace.

Think about it. The Voice of Truth, God, whatever you want to call it....is always there...but it is usually overshadowed by our ego, which is loud and stupid...the cause of all our problems and distress. But it knows us so well....and as the Course In Miracles states:

"Your ego is totally insane....it doesn't want you to know Who takes every step with you. For it knows that if you knew that God is always with you, you would throw ego away...so it keeps you in a low level of anxiety to control you"

So true. I know...have lived it. God is Love. So very powerful, He can afford to be gentle....has no need to scream at you. It is an inevitable fact that you will one day realize He is closer to you than your breath...so He can stand back and watch with sympathetic amusement as you struggle with all your "knowings"....lol!!!

Everyone should read

I was at my OLD, small local library and came across this book. It has changed my life IMMENSELY. So I bought 3 copies from Amazon, one for me to keep and two to share with friends. I was raised Christian, but I am not religious- more spiritual. While the title seems a little out there, as soon as you start reading it, you get drawn in by the easy to read, common sense language. It is mildly New Age, but not something that Christians would run from. I believe in my abilities to take in what's useful and ignore the things that might not agree with my beliefs. But what I did realize while reading this book is just how closed minded we are taught to be in the church, and how much better off we would be if we would give things a chance. After reading this book, I am a much happier person, and MUCH less stressed. At first it was a conscious effort, and then it just came naturally. The book is NOT about religion, but about how our minds hold everything we need in order to live a happy, content life. And it is achievable for EVERYONE. It makes so much sense...

Good introduction, but missing an essential element

This pleasant book introduces the Sound Current from the perspective of traditional Yoga practice. It also handily dissects the question of Tinnitus, notable because the author is a medical doctor.

This book makes two important points that are left out of other books:

1) Nada Yoga does not concern outer sounds or music. Some authors and musicians suggest that Nada Yoga is listening to live or recorded instruments and music. That is not so and this author shows why.

2) Chanting the word "Om" is not the same as experiencing the Om. That is very true. One can say Om till the sacred cows come home, and it may feel good, but that is still not the real Om. The book explains the difference quite well.

The only thing missing is detailed instruction in how to actually meditate with this technique. One could figure most of it out from reading this book closely, but a simple step-by-step practice would be better.

Pippin Vocal/Conductor Score -- Insight Into Working Music

The "Pippin" Vocal/Conductor score, in manuscript, offers an excellent insight into working music, that is, music prepared for live stage performance. The instrumental portion of the score, condensed into basically a heavily annotated piano score, provides a quick glimpse into the essence of the music without getting bogged down in the details of a specific orchestration. This was especially useful for me because a theatre group with which I am associated wants to do "Pippin" with a more contemporary sound. Having this balance between the big-picture and crucial detail is invaluable for that. However, I don't know that I would actually want to conduct a live performance with this publication only because its reduced size (relative to commercially rented full performance scores) makes some things difficult to see especially with the limited light of the orchestra pit and the solid block back binding makes page navigation a bit more challenging. But this publication is proving to be an extremely helpful tool for building new arrangements while keeping a sense of familiarity. I would that more Broadway musicals were published in this format.

Great score - hard to read in places

I have always loved the music from Pippin. For a long time the full score was not available for purchase, so it is nice to have it in print. My reason for giving 4 stars is that the score is published in manuscript form. In this age of computer generated musical scores that look perfect, we shouldn't have to try and decipher notes due to a handwritten manuscript score.

Este libro verdaderamente es un desafio a crecer no importa las condiciones del Terreno en las que te encuentras. La Pastora Yesenia Then lo presenta de una manera tan Clara a la Luz de la palabra que te lo recomiendo.

Este libro fue una gran bendicion en mi vida ya que me anhelo es poder crecer y llegar a ser la persona que Dios disenar que yo fuera. La pastora Yesenia Then tiene el don de esrcibir porque me senti que yo la estaba oyellendo predicar anuque solamente le he visto por youtube. Me encanta que es muy sencilla- Ella te hablo de Tu a Tu. Yo le recominedo Este libro a todo creyente que anhela crecer- no importa cuanto tiempo llevas en el evangelio Este libro te va ayudar!!
