This book is a collection of letters written by Reverend Edward E. Menaldino, a pastor for over 40 years throughout churches in the United States. The letters, titled Parson To Person, were addressed to his congregation and were included on a monthly basis in the church's Sunday bulletin.  They featured the author's reflections on how to meet the challenges of living a Christian life in a modern world. Reverend Menaldino's family, appreciating the depth and wisdom of his teachings, frequently encouraged him to publish his writings. Although he did not live to see this publication the family is hopeful these letters will bless, guide and strengthen readers in their walk of faith. Reverend Edward E. Menaldino was born in Flushing, New York, served in the Air Force in WWII, earned two degrees at Central Bible College (now incorporated into Evangel University) in Springfield, Missouri, and received training in counseling at the University of Minnesota. An evangelist and recorded singer in his early years of ministry in both Canada and the United States, he accepted pastoral positions in San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia. During his long tenure as pastor in Philadelphia, he was in demand in Poland, Germany, India and Italy as a special speaker and teacher at Bible schools and in churches. He served for several years as District Presbyter for the Assemblies of God Pennsylvania-Delaware District. His wife of over 6o years passed away in 2010. Reverend Menaldino passed away in 2012 at the age of 85 years and is survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren..

The insights found in each monthly letter are so insightful and and full of wisdom. He was my Mentor and Spiritual Father and I will always be indebted to him and his whole family. Radionics, Cosmiculture, Chelation, Vortices, Agnihotra, are all covered in Secrets of the Soil with unerring insight and enough depth to keep the home researcher motivated for a lifetime. Boon to Jazz Singers

Judy's new book "Exloring the Blues" is a great help to beginners and experienced singers alike. Her method is very "in vivo", where the singer gets to experience improvising right away and learn from the masters at the same time. Judy's demonstrations are really inspiring - her voice is so pleasant and her technique is flawless. Students get a demonstration of perfect singing technique as well as getting new vocabulary for their improvisation. The addition of some of the quirky older jazz icons is priceless! It's valuable to see how important individuality is in this art form. I highly recommend this book to singers of all levels who want to improve their understanding of music and the blues, which is the foundation of jazz music.

Judy Neimack's book, Exploring the Blues: Hear It and Sing It! is a good tool in the classroom. My students love it, and it is easy to use. The exercises build nicely as the students' skills develop. The listening resource list in the back of the book is also very useful. Kudos to Judy for developing solid jazz vocal tools. I'm fascinated to read about ancient history and the Middle East in particular. When I found that for $0.99 I could download a book that covered Ancient Greece, Egypt, Babylon, the Hittites, the Assyrians, and more, I jumped at the chance. Caveat emptor, friends. Mr. Hall's content is fine, if you can get past his tedious language. It's obvious that he was an Egyptologist, since he handles the material with a lighter touch. As I read on, I realized that the author was British (no crime, obviously), but his use of language seemed stilted, almost archaic. For example, he uses "shew" instead of "show." Later, he made reference to a situation that involved the British in India. Okay, Britain hasn't owned India since the late 1940s, so we're beginning to narrow the field. I eventually checked "Henry R. Hall" in Wikipedia, and here's what I found: The author's correct name is Henry R. H. Hall. He wrote this particular work in 1913. If I want to read a 100-year-old book, I have every right to do so. I'd just like to know what exactly I'm reading when Amazon offers no information concerning the author or copyright date of the material, other than their Kindle publication date. I shouldn't have to research the author elsewhere to get the story. Those of you who are old hands at ebooks likely will scoff at my irritation, and you might be right. As I said, caveat emptor. I get it. Still, had I known I would have been forced to wade through century-old language and miss out on the latest findings, I would have spent more money and downloaded something else.

A profesional book for archeologists.

Data and descriptions are very thorough and credible and cite many investigators that would be important to those engaged in that line of work. Not much on interesting descriptions and postulates on life of people in those days....

Of course, the book is dated. But for anyone wanting to get a broad based understanding of this massive topic, you can't go wrong. He puts the civilizations in prospective and covers their major achievements.

An Essential Read when Getting Productive!

After working with Sara's e-book, The Productivity Puzzle, I have gotten a strong, confident grasp of my productivity & gotten my space SO much more workable and organized. The Puzzle Pieces work with MY lifestyle, MY work needs, and MY own strengths and weaknesses rather than giving me a step-by-step model of which only a few of the steps will actually apply to my situation.

The Productivity Puzzle is such a wonderful tool to develop a well-rounded approach to getting organized! Even when I have one piece all set but I'm still not feeling totally settled & organized, I can look back and re-read through the Productivity Puzzle and see where my plan isn't fitting together - maybe I'm missing some Physical System pieces in my world. I have attended a few of Sara's workshops and always found her to be vibrant, well-spoken & able to communicate all things productive in such a fun and accessible way. This e-book is an amazing extension of her & her core principles - such a great tool.

Struggling with clutter and productivity? A must-read book!

I was fortunate enough to read an advance copy of this book, and to attend a workshop taught by the author. Sara does a great job of unpacking the pieces of the "Productivity Puzzle". If you read this book and do the exercises, you'll walk away with a much better understanding of the systems you have in your life - the physical stuff that accumulates, plus the emotional demands of your values, goals, calendar system and to-do list - and how those pieces fit together to enhance or limit your productivity. By taking a good hard look at these areas of my life, I've been able to clear away the clutter, eliminate points of friction, become more efficient and more productive, and create what Sara calls "white space" - the freeing of resources (space, time, and attention) to focus on what really matters. Sara's writing style matches how she talks: light and engaging, tackling difficult stuff and making it fun. If you wish you could be more productive and have more time for the stuff that matters to you, this book is definitely a must read.
